FAQ

Common Questions.

What ages do you coach?

Players ages 8 through adult. Most lessons are youth (8–14) and high school athletes, with team clinics for any level.

What age should my player start taking lessons?

Kids 8+ usually benefit from structured hitting and fielding work, though younger players can start with fundamentals. Most parents see the biggest jumps around age 10–12 when the game speed picks up. If you're unsure about fit, send Kyle a message.

Where are lessons held?

Lessons are held at Sawtooth Sports in Caldwell, ID, easy access from Middleton, Meridian, Boise, Eagle, and Nampa. Specific time and lane are confirmed at booking.

How long is a session?

Standard private lessons run 60 minutes. 30-minute and 90-minute formats are available. Message Kyle about which fits your goals.

What's the difference between a Hitting Lab and a Hitting & Fielding Training session?

A Hitting Lab is 30 minutes in a pitching-machine lane, focused on reps and plate work. A Hitting & Fielding Training session is 60 minutes of 1-on-1 coaching: warm-up, mechanics, video review when it helps, and a take-home cue. Pick by goals and schedule.

How much do lessons cost?

$50 for a 30-minute Hitting Lab (pitching machine lane rental). $75 for a 1-hour Hitting or Fielding Training session. Team clinics are quoted custom; message Kyle with details.

Do you coach girls' softball?

Yes. Swing mechanics and fielding footwork share the same foundation. Message Kyle about your daughter's goals and he'll put together a plan.

What should I bring?

Your own glove, bat, helmet, and cleats or turfs. Equipment is available to borrow if you're trying lessons before investing in your own gear.

Do you offer multi-lesson packages or team rates?

Yes, recurring lesson blocks and team-clinic packages are quoted on request. Message Kyle with how often you'd like to train and he'll work out a rate.

How do I cancel or reschedule?

Cancellations and reschedules are easy with at least 24 hours' notice. Same-day changes are accommodated when possible.
